No. 13

Welcome to Flume News,

(If you don't know who Flume are yet then check out the biography and music samples pages. If you know the score then read on and find out what's been happening!)

Ollie: How ya all been? The top news of the month is that as announced, (in the Stop Press header last month), 'Believe' has been pressed to CD and is in the shops now! Released on 20th February 2000 the CD is called 'LSCD' (LocalSoundCD) and is a 12 song compilation and is retailing from between £9-10 pound. It's a bargain. As well as ourselves it features 11 other Oxford bands including Five Mile Drive, Vade Macum, Holy Roman Empire and Suriki. Read the Oxford Nightshift's review of it on our Reviews page . . .

. . . meanwhile, the Flume were busy ensconsed at TOG studios in Benson preparing their next masterpiece! So far, so good, things are going very, very, well. All the basic music tracks have completed for the four songs (Provide, Easy, Infinite and Bench) and the main vocal tracks for Provide and Bench are also practically finished. We're booked in for another day this month and we should be fairly close to finishing after that. It's very early to make claims but I'm confident it will be a big step forward for us.

Bob's away on Holiday at the moment (Snowboarding in the Alps). He gets back this weekend, giving us just enough time to get well rehearsed for the gig at the Swan, Wantage on Thursday 9th March. We're playing with Perfect 10 and its free to get in so it should be a great night. Be there if you can.

That's about it this month, til next time, Cheers,

Ollie.
